FLYING JOES est un power trio montréalais Rock n’Blues à la puissance brut, sans artifice, fait l’effet d’une bombe sur scène! Composé du chanteur bassiste Syd Bédard, du guitariste Jean-François Arsenault et du batteur Laurent St-Pierre, Flying Joes est un nouveau groupe aux compositions originales anglophones formé en janvier 2014. Ses membres possèdent un impressionnant bagage d’expériences accumulé au fil des années dans le milieu professionnel artistique. Ils ont partagé la scène avec Steve Hill, Éric Lapointe, Sylvain Cossette et plusieurs humoristes lors des Gala Humour Aveugle présentés au Théâtre St-Denis, dont Louis-José Houde, Peter Mcleod et Mike Ward. Ils ont aussi tournés avec diverses formations musicales au Canada, en France, aux États-Unis, en Chine, en Afrique et au Mexique. Déjà en période de pré-production pour un premier album dont l’enregistrement est prévu cet l’automne, Flying Joes donne un avant-goût aux fans de ses chansons originales en spectacle. Une approche musicale « vintage » au son d’aujourd’hui, voici ce qu’est Flying Joes, la «rocket» qui vous fera voyager!
FLYING JOES is a Rock/Blues power trio from Montreal with raw power, without artifice and has the effect of a bomb on stage! Composed of vocalist bassist Syd Bédard, guitarist Jean-François Arsenault and drummer Laurent St-Pierre, Flying Joes is a new group with original english compositions formed in January 2014. Its members have an impressive wealth of experiences accumulated over the years in the professional arts. They have shared the stage with Steve Hill, Éric Lapointe, Sylvain Cossette and several comedians during the Gala de l'Humour Aveugle presented at Théâtre St-Denis, including Louis-José Houde, Peter Mcleod and Mike Ward. They have also toured with various musical formations in Canada, France, United States, China, Africa and Mexico. Already during pre-production for a first album scheduled to recording this fall, Flying Joes gives a taste to fans of their original songs in concert.
