Bob Harrisson est né dans une famille de musiciens. À huit ans, il jouait déjà de la batterie professionnellement et à 13 ans, il s'est mis à la guitare. Avec son frère Jacques, il a formé le groupe de rock progressif Dillinger, qui connu du succès dans les années 1970. En 1979, Harrisson s'est joint à Offenbach, avec lequel il a travaillé sur scène et en studio. Deux ans plus tard, le Bob Harrisson Blues Band voyait le jour. La formation devint rapidement un incontournable de la scène blues québécoise. À l'été 2007, Bob Harrisson célèbrait ses 50 années de vie artistique lors d'un concert offert au Festival de Jazz International de Montréal.
The legendary québécois bluesman and ex-Offenbach member BOB HARRISSON will be joined by musicians including his nephew Sam Harrisson on drums. He'll present a show where acoustic and electric blues are celebrated, playing some of his new songs. Bob Harrisson was born into a family of musicians. At eight years old, he played already the drum professionally and at age 13, he started on the guitar. With his brother Jacques, he formed the progressive rock band Dillinger, who had success in the 1970s. In 1979, Harrison joined Offenbach, with whom he worked on stage and in studio. Two years later, the Bob Harrison Blues Band was born and quickly became a major actor of the Quebec blues scene. In the summer 2007, Bob Harrisson celebrated his 50 years of artistic life during a concert at the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
